How It All Began

Travel Shouldn't Mean Leaving Part of Yourself Behind

When I started traveling. I noticed something was missing. It wasn't always easy to find experiences that reflected both my cultural and my plant-based lifestyle.

So I created Black Vegan Travel

A space where Black travelers can explore the world without having to che between connecting with culture and enjoying food that aligns with their lifestyle. Where plant-based cuisine is part of the adventure, cultural experiences go beyond the surface and community makes the journey even more meaningful.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Hey, I'm Lesley.

Traveler. Community Connector. Experience Curator.

I've always believed that some of life's best experiences happen when we step outside what's familiar. I love discovering new places, meeting people, exploring different cultures, and finding great vegan food along the way.

That's the spirit behind Black Vegan Travel. I created BVT to bring together my passions for travel, culture, plant-based living, and community.

My hope is that every BVT experience leaves you with more than great photos. I want you to leave with new perspectives, meaningful connections, and stories you'll be telling for years.
